Nancy Jo is a freelance writer, a staff writer for Woman Hunter magazine
and the Guru Huntress columnist for Women's Outdoor News. She is an avid
huntress who enjoys hunting small and large game and has successfully
harvested game with a rifle, muzzleloader, shotgun and compound bow. She
also enjoys sporting clays and competes in 3-D competitions. She
concedes that turkey hunting remains her favorite but deer hunting runs
a close second.
She is an
advocate for women hunters and enjoys researching and field testing
products that are woman friendly and bringing that information to women
hunters and outdoor enthusiasts. Her work as a NALA certified paralegal
has instilled in her the skills essential to feed her inquisitive nature
of researching products of interest.
Nancy Jo
credits her love for hunting to her husband and mentor, Richard, and
believes if it were not for his unselfishness in sharing his love for
the sport with her that she would not have had the awe-inspiring
opportunity to have hunted in 9 states in her short 3 years of hunting.
Although they both spend a majority of time hunting together or on the
same hunts, she has ventured to other states on her own and feels
confident that this was possible because of the skills instilled in her
through his mentoring and the information she has gained through her
research. |
