My name is Jonathan Turner, I am 33
years old and I live in southern Kentucky with my wife Dawn and two
children Callie and Cade. I attended Western Kentucky University and
received a bachelor degree in Agriculture and I am currently employed as
an Environmental Health Inspector for the state of Kentucky where I
inspect dairy farms.
My outdoor passion started at an
early age. My father, who is an avid fisherman, raised my brother and I
by himself due to the passing of my mother. My father always took us
outdoors doing something. We would hunt everything from Indian artifacts
in plowed up tobacco fields, deer, turkey, rabbit, squirrel and of
course fishing.
As I grew older my passion for the
outdoors grew even larger. I'm always out exploring and trying to learn
as much as possible about the wildlife that we have here in Kentucky. I
am an avid deer and turkey hunter and always looking forward to the
opening day of either season. I am a member of Mossy Oak Pro Staff, and
I'm also a proud member of the NWTF and the NRA.
I'm one of those hunters that gets
excited seeing any wildlife, whether it be a small buck, doe, fawn, jake,
or any of the wood's little creatures. This is what keeps me going and
keeps the excitement alive and tangible. I will continue hunting until
that feeling ends, and I suspect that will be the day I am laid to rest.
If I'm not hunting I am spending time with family, shooting my bow or
outdoors scouting for wildlife.
I have been blessed to have the
opportunity to harvest the animals and take my children along with me as
my dad did, so that I can teach them about the outdoors so that they may
respect it and enjoy it as well. I feel that it is imperative that any
outdoor lover teach children, and others to respect and uphold the
outdoors, enjoy it, and always leave it in better shape than what we
found it in.
Thank you for checking out my bio and always remember "The will to
harvest is not nearly as important as the will to prepare for a
harvest."
